A Picture of Chaos

Much trumpeting for the Liverpool regional premiere screening of the anti-slavery movie Amazing Grace, with star Ioan Gruffudd and director Michael Apted lined up for a post-show question and answer session. Then disaster struck.....

Too many tickets had been given out by the promoters - or had the Odeon got in a muddle over which of the auditoria had been booked? Who cared? So, ona cold and wet night, off home we went, just praying, as we resorted once more to the small screen, there would be no news from east of Cyprus or south of Italy; no health scares, and no Red Nose updates.
Unfortunately, there were all three, including the semi-final of the dreadful Fame Academy
